Passengers are required to purchase and present an ECAT ID Card when purchasing and using reduced fares including cash, tickets, or passes. With proper documentation, senior citizens (60 and over), persons with disabilities, and students through high school are eligible for reduced fares. ECAT ID Cards are purchased at the ECAT Administrative Office at 1515 West Fairfield Drive any weekday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The cost is $2.75.
Student Reduced Fare ID Card (for High School and College Students):
ECAT Student ID cards are marked with an expiration date. Cards expire two years from date of purchase. When purchasing your ECAT Student ID card, bring personal identification and a letter or report card from your high school or college. With proof of GED attendance, an ECAT Student ID card may be purchased. You must present your ECAT Student ID card to pay $1.25 reduced fare or when purchasing and using the $12.00 Student 10-Ride Ticket.
Senior Reduced Fare ID Card:
To buy the ECAT Reduced Fare ID card, senior citizens must be age 60 or over and present proof of age. You must present your ECAT Reduce Fare ID card to pay reduced fare or when purchasing and using the reduced passes or tickets.
Disabled Citizen Reduced Fare ID Card:
Disabled citizens must complete an "ID Card Request Form." This form is available at the ECAT Administrative, Customer Service, or by downloading the PDF file. Mail, drop off, or fax the form to 850-595-3222. After the completed form is received, ECAT will obtain required information from your physician. Upon receipt of the physician's verification of disability, ECAT will notify you and you may purchase an ECAT Reduced Fare ID card. To check on verification, call 850-595-3228, ext. 210. ECAT Reduced Fare ID cards may be purchased immediately if the individual has a Medicare card, a Social Security statement verifying disabled income, a Veteran's Affairs (VA) card or if the individual's social worker, counselor, or support coordinator are present. The social worker, counselor, or support coordinator must present identification. You must present your ECAT Reduce Fare ID card to pay reduced fare or when purchasing and using the reduced passes or tickets.
ADA Transportation Identification Card:
Individuals who are ADA Transportation certified and have an ADA Transportation identification card (through Pensacola Bay Transportation) can ride ECAT free. You must present your ADA Transportation identification card to the bus operator to ride ECAT free. Note: ADA Identification Cards are obtained during the ADA certification process. Medicare Cards
Medicare cards are accepted as the basis for fare reductions and for the purchase and use of reduced tickets or passes. However, all Medicare card holders are encouraged to obtain an ECAT ID card.
