ECAT OPEN HOUSE: Back the Cat Rally

(Pensacola, Fla.) - April 6, 2007, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., ECAT is holding an open house for existing and new riders. Events include free rides to Pensacola Beach, facility tours, and a bus and trolleys on-site.

ECAT staff will be available to assist customers with trip planning. “We encourage any Pensacola area resident to come meet their transit system,” said Nancy Lohr, ECAT Director of Marketing and Customer Service.

ECAT began operation in 1950 and serves Escambia County seven days a week with over 1500 stops daily. Operation includes fixed route and Pensacola Beach and UWF Trolley service. A February 2007 rider survey shows that 53% of ECAT riders use the bus to get to work.
